Dressing up to go out: When you have a night out, you always plan an outfit, you don't want to repeat an outfit. It's a motivation for you to prepare a different outfit. I love shopping and planning an outfit, you need the occasion to have the motivation to plan it. It gives you a reason to shop and dress up.
If you don't dress the part, you don't get the job. You dress to attract the right partner - you're looking for the right match, you aspire to a certain lifestyle.
There is no place left today that I would dress up for. Unless it was for a private party.
"You want to stick out but you want to stick out for the right reasons - you want to look good, not out of place, not blend in when you've made an effort."
Shadow Lounge - Blazer, silver shirt, black skinny denim and boots (usually my go-to outfit); more make up, eye shadow, contouring.
Everyone there seemed to be more wearing shirts rather than t-shirts; dancefloor in the middle. Didn't feel seedy. Mixed crowd, mixed ages, younger twinks and more mature daddies; I used to wear a big necklace - my favourite robot necklace. Glue diamonds onto my eyelids; Topshop ladies ware - lacey mesh beads top, gold beads with navy thread.
Armani jacket; spend all my money on one jacket - faux alligator shiny leather. I used to wear that when i was going out all the time. Leather leggings and high heels, sort of cross dressing - most venues (all the G-A-Y venues, 'slave to fashion' parties; Beach Blanket Babylon specific party nights, not necessarily gay dedicated venue).
I usually always have a blazer to go out. I hardly go to the beach in a t-shirt, it's always a shirt - silk, Dolce & Gabbana - I don't have t-shirts!
